Jamie Thomson, brilliantbluejay, is Jamie Thomson , an abstract painter and potter based in Royal Oak, a suburb in Metro Detroit, Michigan.  She has been in the art world for a long time (we won't really go into just how long!), but has focused on it more seriously for the past five years.  Pottery is her first love and has recently regained focus thanks to its assistance in helping her hands cope with the degenerative arthritis she has in both thumb joints.  Discovering that something she loves to do helps ease the pain she is experiencing has been one of the hidden joys of getting older.  

She loves color, texture, and nature, and how they can be expressed in all forms, and if you stop and look carefully, you will see that reflected in all her work. As a former psychologist, you may also see emotions and relationships reflected. No matter what is present, she strives to create items that will enrich and decorate your spaces.
